Hall of Fame
Jones was a member of the Bloomsburg football and basketball teams from 1946 to 1950 and served as the school's junior varsity basketball coach after returning to school to finish his degree following a stint in the military. As a member of the basketball team, he was a four-year starter and earned All-Pennsylvania State Teacher's College recognition three times. As a member of the football team, Jones played both offensive and defensive end and helped the Huskies to a four-year record of 27-6-1, including a 9-0 mark in 1948.
